Today’s Meditation 8/5/2018

a random verse…

“My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.” Job 14 v17

Lord, I thank you for this day and know that the future is by faith to be trusted in your hands. I thank you for all that you do. I pray Lord a special prayer for my family. I pray Lord for all others, as the whole world truly is in your hands. I seek to worship you in prayer as the Lord of all. Amen.

Today–beyond ‘a random verse’.

“When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:”

Luke 11 v21

Jesus had set free a person held captive by “a devil” or demon. With this miraculous event there were those in his midst who wanted event to make bad of this for Christ. Some wondered about the event also. In the verses prior to and after Luke 11 v21 it read like this…

And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered. But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of devils. And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven. But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them,

Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation: and a house divided against a house falleth. If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. And If I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. When a strong man keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

above–Luke 11 v14-23 Authorized King James Version

With these verses taken into consideration and even the focus of the random verse to begin with, my first thought goes to this verse…

And he said unto me,

My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

and another comes to mind as well

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.

above–Psalm 20 v7-9

In life we learn that many things are beyond our control but I know life does not end there. We do not control the substance of life that comes from the breath that we breathe and do not see. God is good to us and blesses us daily.

Yes, the sting of death still is existing but not forever. Eternal is the gift of life for anyone who chooses the life with the savior, Jesus Christ. In today’s culture and for a long time before now many have tried unsuccessfully to make this seem the most far-fetched thought of reality possible. Today, many will grasp to the idealism of darkness of empowerment through sorcery, or the likeness thereof, rather than turning to the empowerment of God through his son Jesus Christ.

Yes, spiritual challenge is real but victory in the outcome is possible. As I study in areas of some of the most educated writers regargding the body and the brain the most sought after matter (seen but not seen) is truth. It is in truth that peace can be found and sustained.

Lets see how easy it is to confuse even the definition of truth or matter.

The definition of matter is “anything that occupies space” which in turn we can ask does truth occupy space. Everything matters but in real truth there is true peace. Truth is manifested in Gods son Jesus Christ, and he is, in his spirit of life, the one that manifest truth in our lives. When we allow him to, and yes, he does not override the will of each one of us. He may answer the prayer of another for us and see the circumstances of our lives redirect us to a right method of choice but in the end the choice is left to us to choose him and his way and with all hope, that is what we do. For today, all is well and more is to come on this which began with one verse…Be blessed, Amen

beyond the random verse…

The time has been well, in the joint effort of myself and my wife, to bring the post of “Today’s Meditation-a random verse” over the past year or so, to whomever would choose to share that moment with us. Often times it seemed that we alone were seeing the verse of the day, then to find that others had taken something from the daily post as well. It is now that I can hope that I had been as strong, spiritually strong as ever before but today as always before, we take one step at a time.

We move on forward from this day to another part of the journey of our writing. While my entire intent is stilled being defined within myself and my wife, and with much prayer we are going a little deeper into the insight of what the past post’s of “Today’s Meditation” with “a random verse”. has brought to us. We will be taking some of the post’s to a further study level and hope to build on that, life skills that will  be a blessing to all involved. We hope that you join us in this study.

All-though every comment is reviewed and hopefully add insight to what the Lord would have us all to take from each writing, they are not made public until I have had a chance to appreciate what they may bring to the thought of who may read them.

In short version :), we are changing the post and are going to study the verses that we have been directed to over the past year a little deeper. The post may not be as often but we are still here studying them daily and hope to hear from you all as well. May the Lord bless you all and us together as we go forward into the next year. Amen

Our first of the past year…

“When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:”

 Luke 11 v21

To trust God. As we keep our own abilities intact, there are at times life that seems stronger than we are which comes as one stronger than us. As we stand with the Lord on our side, by rights of the right spirit within us, he will keep us.

Lord, help me today to stand where I need to stand and to treat others accordingly. By your grace we are loving to love in the name of Christ Jesus, your name. Amen. -from February 16, 2018
