Today’s Meditation 3/20/2018

a random verse…

“But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.” Zechariah 1 v6

The message of right continues its continuity throughout as does those who both choose to hear and those who choose not to hear. Our God reigns.

Lord, forgive us this day as we work to forgive others, help us Lord to understand the right in our choices based upon your entire word. Let us walk with you. Amen

Today’s Meditation 3/19/2018

a random verse…

“And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,” Ezekiel 32 v1

the verses continued…. KJV

“…take up lamentation…”

Shall any kingdom stand against God? No, none is higher. The grief of which lofty heights of the heart is to know certain destruction.

“Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set them for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever hear the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not the warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; thou thou hast delivered thy soul. …”

Lord, heavenly father, let us hear what your word is saying to us. Our job is not to choose our calling but to follow. Amen

Today’s Meditation 3/18/2018

a random verse…

“To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;” Luke 2 v7

God’s promises-The prophets have been blessed with the covenants of God only to bring them on into the future of all nations should they accept them. Nations begin with one, that is ourselves.

The greatest purpose of that promise is to believe for ourselves and to share the knowledge-“To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,…” and it continues “through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” …

Life presents us with choices and often comes a great deception in trying to influence those choices, such as a -line in the sand- disposition. Who wins. If one draws a line in thoughts and then it is crossed, the potential for the oneĀ  who drew the line to become an outsider becomes phenomenally greater.

God does not turn away from his promises. His course stays before us. To accept the knowledge of salvation and by faith the remission of sins we experience the tender mercies of God. In life there is no equal exchange for that blessing, no material possessions and not even our lines in the sand.

Lord, I thank you. I pray my soul would bless you. …find the words that fit our needs that we can find our rest in you. Amen

Today’s Meditation 3/17/2018

a random verse…

“For while they be folden together, as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.” Nahum 1 v10

What is it in a day which everything is accepted with the exception of not accepting. Our convictions help save us in a way of giving us the ability to determine our direction in life. Would we tangle ourselves together as thorns only to burn?

Lord, help us to understand your word is the light unto our path. Our prayer is to honor you as our father who cares for us. We are so very thankful for all that you do for us. Amen.

Today’s Meditation 3/16/2018

a random verse…

“As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.” Ecclesiastes 11 v5

Shall we turn away because we do not know? Not at all, but then shall we recognize there is a greater plan than ours that is consistently in motion? Yes.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth the with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord execute righteousness and judgement for all that are oppressed…”

So much today to understand, then to wonder why we understand. “Vanities and vexation of spirit” has grown to be commonplace it seems, yet we continue doing the same things in many instances. The instances of which modern day Christianity stands against itself, so obvious but observed so obliviously by its own.

“And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning ye should walk in it.”

Dear Lord, I thank you for that once renewed mind and spirit of truth more powerful than anything that could come against life. I pray Lord again, for that renewing to continue in who I am and we are this day. Amen

Today’s Meditation 3/15/2018

a random verse…

“The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” Psalm 18 v2

In our own worlds come endless challenges, offered to be fixed by endless words which become as the sound of cymbals clanging together. In the ‘cul-de-sac’ of circumstances it is good to realize the one way out is the way we got where we are today.

In the ‘labrinth’ of life, seeds are planted which brings beauty with the grass and flowers growing as we travel the circles. A tall blade of grass grows to it’s highest potential with seeds topping it out, only to fall to the ground and start new life. Our shadow covers where the seeds could fall.

Lord, I thank you for this day. I pray for the strength not to be controlled by anything of this world, either lawful or not. Our health is in you, our faith is in you.

Even among the confusion that is set in by so many, I thank you for the rock to stand on. I thank you for the refuge provided, I thank you that you can bring the confusion to an end, I thank you that you are my God in where my strength comes from. I thank you.

To trust the Lord. I bow before you. Amen

Today’s Meditation 3/14/2018

a random verse…

“All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” 1 Corinthians 6 v12

Because all things are lawful do’s not mean everything is good or good for me. Paul wrote he would not become bound by those things of the law that could become controlling in ones life.

We can know the difference in what is right and what is wrong by the power of God-“And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.” We will understand.

Lord, let us pray for a renewing of your spirit in us. Let our ears hear what your spirit is saying to the church. Amen
