“These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgement of truth and peace in your gates:” Zechariah 8 v19
Specific things the Lord said “shall” be done, speaking to the people of Jerusalem. Tell the truth and let you actions be based on true justice and bring peace to your gates: Daily living doesn’t have to be confused with the sin of lying and all around motives of competitive self gain, nor should our commitment to others have to be driven by what we can gain for ourselves from them.
