“Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;” Zephaniah 2 v1
Together we study because we agree to be here on this site, and then take the necessary action to get us here. “The word of the Lord” speaks to the nation of Israel at this time to get themselves together. The not desired is before them as doing things and living in a way that is unpleasing to the Lord. He warns them to agree to move forward in his ways. Zephaniah is warned of a true judgement that is coming and those who hear the word are given opportunity to be blessed of the Lord. On into the book of Zephaniah he tells them “I will undo all that afflict thee: …”
The Lord is on our side, not as we are perfect but that we should work to be of the same mind as a nation in honoring him. Not as political honor and division casting bad light upon another but to warn them of the judgment that will come with bad choices, those which are against his statutes and precepts.
