Many times, over and over, God has allowed his judgment to come against his own and that judgement is written in His word for us to see as an example of what could come as we make decisions as individuals, and as a nation that goes against his holiness. It is through his son, Jesus, that we are redeemed to a filling of his spiritual nature that gives us the ability to fight against our own flesh and the desires of the flesh. If and when we fail we have an advocate with the father to which we can go. His peace will follow those who desire to Love him, and honor him with our lives in the way we live.
