“Thus saith the Lord; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.” Jeremiah 47 v2
The just judgment of the Lord and his ways of having humanity acknowledge him as God are not in our hands. Although, we as men often have the great dillusion that it is of ourselves to control our own destinies without God’s influence it is still what it is, not true. He is in control, but our choice remains whether or not to acknowledge or follow him. While his interest is in the very one alone, it also is in the interest of all of humanity. thought-weighed in the balances.
