“There is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity: yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion-This also is vanity and a great evil.” Ecclesiastes 2 v23
Life presents us with the opportunity to gain skill and work in using that skill, separation from this life into eternity has us leave at times things we have worked for because of “heritage” to those who have not worked for it. That doesn’t make sense and is evil.
The greatest heritage we can possibly leave behind is to understand respect and honor for the Lord God, and as we live and seek his ways work to share that with those who will gain our heritage. This not only is carried into eternity with us, but is left for those as we move on to decide what to do with.
Lord, help us to be in the place of wisdom and understanding that will reach the farthest in all of your time. May we be blessed in you and bless you today. Amen.
