“Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:” Nehemiah 12 v 31
A time of dedication becomes a time of celebrating a finishing point of the wall and a starting point of new assignment to them desiring to celebrate the accomplishments. The wall of protection and restoration to the nation of Israel under Nehemiah’s work was a great accomplishment, but even better, a part of God’s plan.
One of Nehemiah’s greatest challenges was to stay focused on the wall and finish that work. He was challenged many other ways during the process by both internal and external forces against him but he stayed the course.
May God help us to stay the course in his way for our lives. Be blessed today, Amen.
