Today’s Meditation 1/13/2018

a random verse…

“Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:” Romans 9 v27

God will finish the work he has begun. In a prior verse it is written like this, -” (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to the election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth:)  and in a later verse like this, – “For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: …”

You have heard it said, -his purposes are not our purposes and his ways are not our ways…” . He will have mercy on who he will have mercy, and his long-suffering or understanding is much greater than ours. That being so, in his wisdom we will go to be with him.

May we all seek his ways, his understanding, and live as he has purpose in our lives. Meditation is a difficult thing at times when so many other things are pulling at us, but I find that time with him brings other things into proper perspective.

Lord, help us to put our minds upon you. Bless all those I think of today in a very special way. Amen
