“And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beast of the field, till seven times pass over him;” Daniel 4 v24
Be thankful in all things. All things work together for those that Love the Lord.
Here, the kings earthly kingdom and his stature are reduced, and taken town only to leave a remnant-a stump. He is led to be as a beast in the field, yet the remnant is waters and still given life. Soon he comes to realize that he must “know that the most high ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth to whomsoever he will.”
May God bless you today. -“break of thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor;” Amen

During a study of Daniel concerning the stump. I learned that God’s desire for his children is neither to destroy or condemn us but to re grow us free of the fruit-rotting parasite of pride.
