“Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.” Psalm 35 v23
Have you ever told someone something and felt like they didn’t hear you? Even with God’s calling and his purposes the words seem to pass right over with selective hearing at best in a world that everyone knows what is best.
That world is the development of opinions, and at times opinions that lead undue persecutions, undue confusion devised by oppressors to hurt someone, even without cause. False witnesses do rise up, and accuse of things that come as a surprise. False witness reward evil for good to the ruin of ones deepest feelings.
but the good news,
God will rise up to the defense of his own in his time. We can rejoice in his salvation, because as the Psalmist wrote “who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the need from him that spoileth him?”
The prayer today is “Lord, come to my defense, and even to my purpose for which you have called me to, because you are my God, and my Lord” and Lord prepare me by your strength in my own spirit to walk with you. Amen
