“No man, when he lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.” Luke 11 v33
As a child growing up we would sing a song in Sunday School that went something like this-I’m gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, hide it under a bushel no, I’m gonna let it shine,…” and it was a stirring moment in the heart of a child. On the one hand we would symbolize a candle and use the other to cover and uncover the symbolic candle.
Great times were those, and I’m very thankful for the Lady who gave her time in teaching Sunday School. She also played the piano for the church. Her talents were well used, and carry on today impacting the lives of many. Using your life to bless others as a Christian is letting your light shine. Thankyou for all you do for the Lord.
Dear Lord, we are so very, very, thankful for all that you have done for us. Let us lift up your name not only with our lips but with the way we live our lives before others. Bless all my brothers and sisters in Christ today, and a special prayer for the missionaries around the world today. Amen
