“Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field: and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beast in the grass of the earth:” Daniel 4 v24
Shall we return to where we first started? At times it is so. To be so simple is sometimes to dismiss what the Lord is doing because in our simpleness we become almost arrogant.
The Lord reduces to the stump and that remains while the humanity is adjusted. Often times it is written, “return to our first Love” meaning to find that place of renewed repentance with all the things or issues that have crept in.
“enjoy the journey, where we are right now, we won’t be here long” 🙂
May the Lord help us this day in our walk with him. May we experience his grace and mercy today in a way that exalts him in our lives and draws us closer to him. Amen
