Today’s Meditation 2/20/2018

a random verse…

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?” Mathew 25 v38

Jesus. As the righteous stood before him he asked the question, When did we see you? He taught that even as “one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me?” His purpose was to see all men treated well, especially in an hour of need.

Lord, in this area we ask for wisdom and understanding to come beyond measure. There are times when it seems we only aid someone in enabling one to do even more harm than good to themselves or others. Then there are the times when we know even all people need some help. Help us Lord to do better as individuals, as the church, and as a nation especially in these areas.

It seems we depend on what our stocks are doing more than what you can do when we align ourselves with your purpose as a nation. Help us Lord in our right relationship with you. In you Lord Jesus we find our absolution, let us cherish your word and your ways. Amen.
