“The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgement with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.” Luke 11 v31
The queen of Sheba came to see-understand what all she had heard about Solomon. This was her conclusion-“Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the Lord loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgement and justice.” Solomon had been blessed by the Lord most significantly in his life with “wisdom and understanding.”
His blessing’s of the Lord brought prosperity not only to himself but brought contentment to the nation of which he led. The word says “Happy are thy men, happy are thy servants, which are continually before thee and hear thy wisdom.”
Leadership skills are not only developed in knowledge of books but come when the “knowledge of the truth” is sought after. That “knowledge of truth” is a right relationship with Christ Jesus. Leadership with that brings a better understanding of circumstances we deal with daily and will also bring the wisdom of how to best deal with them.
There are even times when we must just learn to trust God. Mountains are climbed one step at the time.
One who is greater than us will one day bring judgement and true justice to this world. There will be no more ability to sew confusion among people and right will prevail.
Lord, be with us this day, for we know our hope is in you. We know Lord it is not a false hope because it is of your mercies we are not consumed. Your compassion’s do not fail us. We are so very, very thankful for all that you do. Let your grace be applied this day in forgiveness and strength. Amen
