“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of the grace and gift of righteousness shall reign by one, Jesus Christ.” Romans 5 v17
“The perfect law of liberty”. Our perception of liberty and law don’t often seem to mix. One is about how we are to follow certain ways-law, and the other is about the perceived freedom we are to have-liberty. To make an argument of this would be futile in a way of any other explanation with the exception of a walk with Christ. That is, with his spirit living in us and understanding that he was once a man that walked this earth. Also, he is and always has been the Son of God at the same time.
In God’s goodness he gave us choice. The choice was given to offer us a chance to have a pure relationship to him. Our relationship is freely chosen by us whether or not to walk with him. His guidance daily is there as well for our choosing whether to recieve it or not and no man has not failed at making wrong choices.
The beauty is that we have the abundance of his grace through the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Christ as the final sacrificial lamb for our sins. Tis no man’s sin that can keep us down with God’s grace applied to our lives, if we choose him. By faith, we make that choice.
Lord, by your word we live. Forgive us Lord. Our lives often reflect what seems as failure, but in you we live and we live abundantly. Let your spirit always lift us up, and we pray this in your name. Amen.
