“Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest them and to their fathers.” 2 Chronicles 6 v25
A prayer for the Lord God to hear a prayer of Solomon asking forgiveness for the sin’s of Israel and restore them into the lands’ which their fathers once had. The witness of seeing his own put before and in seeming defeat from their enemies had part in leading up to this request. Prayer to bring the wicked’ ones retribution upon their own selves and to justifying the right by their being right. This all comes in form of a prayer which automatically recognizes God as the one who brings the ultimate change.
While humility comes at times in the form of circumstantial hardship the beauty of it comes as we give recognition to God as the one in control and put our faith and trust in him.
the scriptures go on-“Then hear from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.”…
Lord, help us first to realize that truest walk with you, purge our lives from all unrighteousness, because we know our refuge is in you. Amen
