“To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;” Luke 2 v7
God’s promises-The prophets have been blessed with the covenants of God only to bring them on into the future of all nations should they accept them. Nations begin with one, that is ourselves.
The greatest purpose of that promise is to believe for ourselves and to share the knowledge-“To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,…” and it continues “through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” …
Life presents us with choices and often comes a great deception in trying to influence those choices, such as a -line in the sand- disposition. Who wins. If one draws a line in thoughts and then it is crossed, the potential for the oneĀ who drew the line to become an outsider becomes phenomenally greater.
God does not turn away from his promises. His course stays before us. To accept the knowledge of salvation and by faith the remission of sins we experience the tender mercies of God. In life there is no equal exchange for that blessing, no material possessions and not even our lines in the sand.
Lord, I thank you. I pray my soul would bless you. …find the words that fit our needs that we can find our rest in you. Amen
