“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them,
I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10 v17-20 AKJV
Triumph is not as much a position of dominance over the enemy of the cross as it is knowing that by the blood shed of Christ on the cross the enemy no longer has dominance over the born again Christian. More beauty of being blessed of the Lord is sharing in the desire of most to receive good from another, and then witnessing them being liberated from the bondage of sin.
To be like Jesus. It seems the importunity of many in national leadership is to push a power of agenda than a culture of freedom. Free in Christ is to be bonded to him but free from sin and bonded to his life directions of living. He is good and his mercy will last forever.
“Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto men. For we ourselves also were some times foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being made justified by his grace, we should be made heirs to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3 v1-7 AKJV
“The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honor is humility.” Proverbs 15 v33
