To be like Jesus 20

Today

“Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her,

Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10 v38-42

To be like Jesus. If we asked ourselves, as Jesus did his disciples, What manner of spirit is this that is showing up in who we are? Are we putting things in life ahead of what God would have us to do? TBLJ 14, We cannot turn back on this Journey he has called us to put our hands to, even when it seems we are not getting to far? TBLJ 15, There are still many who need to hear the correct word in order to prepare themselves for eternity. TBLJ 16 Although great power has been given in the realm of our spiritual lives, the most important part above any power we receive is that our name, as a “born again Christian,” is written in the lambs book of life. Jesus is the lamb. TBLJ 17 To know Jesus, is to know God, the debate ends. TBLJ 18 To show compassion, mercy, and understanding is directly in line with who we are as Christ Jesus like Christians TBLJ 19

Many have heard and many have seen the miracles of God, or even the judgement of God in there own lives yet have chosen to go another way. Today, Martha’s concerns over what she thought must be the most important actions for the visit of Jesus were redirected to understand the need to really hear him.

In my heart many times, it would be a great blessing if some would just hear what God is saying to them. The business of today’s culture creates a justification process to not take the time to hear God, To hear Jesus calling us all to repentance of wrong doings or to hear Jesus bless what we are doing as life goes forward.

Being born again is more than just a place secured in heaven when this earthly life is over. The scripture teaches us that it comes with a renewing of who we are…

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51 v10

Life, let me live life as you have raised me, as being born again.

“Jesus saith unto her,

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believe thou this?” John 11 v25, 26 AKJV

and the word continues…

“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For this we groan, earnestly, desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5 v1-10 AKJV

Lord, Jesus, in heaven and of all the earth, we thank you for all that you have done for us. Let me pray Lord of my confession’s first asking you to remove all things hidden or unhidden that may stand between you and I and this prayer. Hear my heart Lord, as I know I am weak and you are strong. Keep in me a strong faith, renew in me a strong spirit, and clean heart. I pray this prayer, not alone for me this day, but for all others as well. Especially those who I know are struggling in some form this day. We believe in your healing in all forms, and we keep our faith in you. We rebuke in your name, this day, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, evil that is now or will be working against us this day. We love you Jesus and we thank you again for all that you are doing for us. Amen
