“And he said unto them,
Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; For a friend of mine in his journey came to me, and I have nothing to set before him? And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as he needeth. And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” Luke 11 v1-13
This portion of writing entirety is a guidance to those who belong to the Father. Jesus is teaching here that we can go to the father and have our needs met according to his will. He is teaching us to pray. As he is in us, so will our desires be. Jesus prayed this prayer in the moment of his greatest sacrifice, himself,…
“And when he was at the place, he said unto them,
Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down and prayed, Saying,
Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Luke 22 v40-42 AKJV
Lord, I thank you for this day. I pray Lord we understand your words and know that all things work together for those who love you. Lord, help us in true discernment of helping others, not to help them destroy themselves but to guide them to the truths that will lead them to you. Lord, let us not miss what you are doing in our lives and the others around us. I pray Lord a special prayer for all my family today that they will hear your voice as you speak to them, and I know they will, because they have given word that they are yours. Amen
