To be like Jesus 28

Today

“In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all,

Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.” Luke 12 v1-3 AKJV

Be aware of those who fix things to make them look good in their own ways. Nothing is hidden that will not be known. The walls we hide behind at times to speak out of turn seem to have ears, and those things spoken will be heard by others. Confession is good for the soul.

“I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes. Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works. My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word. Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously. I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me. I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame. I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.” Psalm 119 v26-32 AKJV

Dear Lord, Our father which are in heaven, as you provide for us this day, forgive where we fail or have failed-(hear our confessions), let us not be tempted above our measure. Suppress the one who is evil against us, for we are yours by faith. Strengthen the right spirit within us that we to will stand against the challenges of our faith, not only for us. Help us to understand we stand in our faith as a testimony to you that others may see your salvation as well. I boast not of myself but my strength is only in you, I have failed and fall short of many expectations, even my own. Lord, my only real strength is in you, and I thank you even for life. Amen
