To be like Jesus 37

Today

“He spake also this parable;

A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.” Luke 13 v6-9 AKJV

The patience and long-suffering as compassion is measured quite meticulously.

“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise hi up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5 v15,16

Lord, help us this day to not let the burdens of wrong thinking be to much to bear. Let your witness be seen in us in a way of true compassion, helping ourselves to be more right in your ways, and also helping others to understand your right last for an eternity, not just a moment. This day is your day, You are the almighty. We thank you this day for your mercies, your grace, and your presence. Forgive us this day where we have failed, and we thank you. Amen
