“And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders, And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority? And he answered and said unto them,
I will ask you one thing; and answer me: The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?
And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not? But if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet. And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was. And Jesus said unto them,
Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.” Luke 20 v1-8 AKJV

“Then come Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him,
Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.
Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Mathew 3 v13-17 AKJV

“This is my beloved Son” -Son of God,: “the heavens were opened unto him…the Spirit of God…like a dove…lighting upon him”: as it was as John baptized Jesus. and there’s more-“my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” said “a voice from heaven.” Lord, I thank you that those always seeking power through rule’s bent for their purposes, driven by the adversary, do have to step back when your Spirit of goodness come’s to the scene. Amen
