To be like Jesus 104

Today

And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. But Jesus said unto him,

Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut of his right ear. And Jesus answered and said,

Suffer ye thus far.

And he touched his ear, and healed him. Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him,

Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” Luke 22 v47-53 AKJV

Jesus recognized and spoke to three groups in this passage. Judas-first: His disciples that had been with him-second: and those who came for him-third: — Judas attempt to hide his deception clearly failed, and Jesus let him know this to his own conviction: One of his disciples brought an aggressive defense and Jesus point to them was one of a question-Do you not realize what is going to happen has purpose beyond the needs you are seeing?: and thirdly, he was speaking to some of those he had taught daily in the temple, and shared time with them. The point made was that they were of a darkness of spirit and chosen to be so in the hour that was made available to them.

Today, as we see these things in writing along with understanding the reason of the celebration of the passover. The blood over the door to sustain life of the child. Let us remember that our journey now with with Christ in the spirit of Christ, the joy of Christ, we go forward. The true celebration of grace is upon us.

Lord, I thank you for this day. We thank you. Amen
