To be like Jesus 118

Today

From the morning to the evening, this day is gone. The intent well thought and now it is.

In the book of James is written,

“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow, For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanish away. For that ye out to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” James 4 v13-17 AKJV

As I have alluded to, this day is now pretty much gone on my side of the world. I had great thoughts this morning on writing and am now bringing just a portion to the page. After traveling almost a couple of hundred miles, through much country side and seeing the coast-the ocean- and then back through many small towns and passing numerous churches the thought still prevails.

Many are different, to the point of our own character. Even so, churches are different and many of those differences have came over time. Numbers become engulfing as one tries to calculate the different ‘denominations’ of which over forty five million Americans choose to affiliate in worship with.

Written in the book of Mark- Jesus told his disciples…

“And Jesus said unto them,

Come ye after me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” Mark 1 v17 AKJV

My thought is today, On which side of the boat are the nets being cast. In the book of John is written…

“Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They said unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. Then Jesus saith unto them,

Children, have ye any meat?

They answered him, No. And he said unto them,

Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find.

They cast therefore, and now were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. Therefore that disciple who Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.” John 21 v3-7 AKJV

Lord willing, this conversation will continue tomorrow. Lord, I give thanks to you for this day, I thank you so much for my family. Let them hear and give thanks for your blessings on me. Amen.
