To be like Jesus 130

Today

Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4 v1,2 AKJV

Having faith, and being faithful-Are these two different? For me, it is yes. To name the name of Christ and not understand enough to make them somewhat applicable tells of itself the measure of who we are. Yet, we do not stand in our own selves by our own measure.

But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgement: yea, I judge not mine own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring light to the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.” 1 Corinthians 4 v3-6 AKJV

As I go through the day, let me take measure of how another can see Christ in me. My Christian brethren, as professed of their own account, shall they do the same, it is my hope. Let me walk by faith, and not of my own sight-so that my faithful accountancies will prevail.

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 2 Corinthians 5 v7 AKJV

Lord, this day is yours, I thank you for your grace. Amen
