“The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord. All the ways of man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits. Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.
When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Better is little with righteousness than great revenues without right. A man’s heart deviseth his way: the but Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16 v1-9 AKJV
Lord, this day as I ponder over these your words my help again is come from you. As we commit-meaning to decide wholly that your way is our way our “thoughts will be established.” The indecision, the anxieties, and much more can go away as we grow in putting our faith and trust in you.
Followed by seeking “mercy and truth” the purging of our lives we are made whole in you.
Lord, let us truly understand in our hearts this day is yours. We are a part of this day and hopefully to your glory. We pray. Amen
