To be like Jesus 189

Today

Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.” Romans 10 v1-4 AKJV

If one person could only write the words to make it all right what an amazing feat that would be. It has been done, the one is God who inspired every single word written in the scriptures and by even being the word himself.

So shall we as a people turn that word to the right or to the left to make it fit the way we think it should be? We cannot.

Truly, it is God’s desire that all should be saved, yes saved. It means changed, renewed in spirit to know the living God in a personal way, and that through faith in what Jesus-the Son of God- did at the cross, and then the resurrection and yes, his return for the Church that is to come. —

so today, …

Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2nd Timothy 2 v14, 15 AKJV

so, our world for those around us and ourselves can be guided by the scriptures. So much change continues to insert itself as right, even and especially among the Christian walk of faith-

first-Christianity is not a ‘community’ to itself. Christianity is the power of God through a relationship of faith in his Son, Jesus Christ. …

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.” Romans 1 v16 AKJV

second-Christianity is not a pass to choose a life of professing faith and live a live of continued sin…

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may be abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” Romans 6 v1 AKJV

and does that mean we are to live a perfect life? not so much, but …

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3 v12 AKJV

Lord, as your word proclaims to us, let us pray in the right way as well. Let us understand that our strength that makes a difference is in the acceptance of your Gospel-our salvation. Let us understand that we are set apart and should work to that part as to please a life not of sin but of your righteousness imparted to us for your purposes. Let us be serious in our walk with you, even more serious than any other part of who we are. Let us be forgiven as we know you have, and you do…keep in us a repentant and a strong heart.

Lord, this day is yours, and we thank you. Amen
