To be like Jesus 237

Today

“Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is in the month of Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were red horses, speckled, and white. Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be. And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.” Zecharariah 1 v7-11 AKJV

Lord, stir among us the right spirit within us. Lord, let us be thankful for yet another day that you have given us. I pray this day Lord for those who are mine that you have given me, be with them, my children, their children, those before me, and those around me-some are far away, others are near-I pray Lord that you are with them this day. Lord, as you have given us this day, I thank you. Amen

    1. Thank you, the question has been an encouragement to me throughout the day. I have meditated in my thoughts and enjoyed that alone if nothing else.
      A lot is going on here in the beginnings of the book of Zechariah and a lot continues to go on all the way through the book. Some of the ones written of in the beginning of the book are-Zechariah, his relatives, a man riding a red horse standing in the myrtle trees,…
      Zechariah’s question was similar to yours, “what are these?”
      And the angel answered-“I will shew thee” and from there it goes even more into the plural sense of participants and then talking with the Lord.
      Two things I have thought of today;
      – One- the message of all this to Gods people brought to Zechariah from the Lord-(most important)
      -Two-today the message still carries, and to write of it will be awesome as it comes in its time. A good start is a
      reference-Hebrews 13 v2 “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”

      The setting pictured is beautiful in my way of thinking, and as we go on hopefully over the next days with post from the book of Zechariah, a lot more of the awesome settings to think about is on the way. Most importantly though, is the message that the setting brings. The Lord is so good to us, thanks again for the question.
      Love all you.
