But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. Lord, let us pray that our ears will hear what you are saying to us through your word. Let us not take more than what we should hear, nor less than what we should hear-but the perfect balance of what your spirit is speaking to us through your word.
Let us execute true judgement-let us hear your law-in our decisions about all that we do. Let us shew mercy and compassion to our brothers, Let us not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor-let us not imagine evil against our brother.

Lord, we know all that we have is yours, and we are charged with honoring you with such as we have. We thank you that our hearts can be made in the way you would have them as you guide us through the decisions in this life. Let our ears hear.
We know that what is right is not always easy, and also that what is easy in not always right. Help us Lord to put what we have in your trust. Amen
