Entitlement-penance, eternal security, holiness- These very words bring some of the most divided paradox of opinions among Christian religious practices.
Shall one be required penance for the thoughts of adultery, or other sins that are condemned in scripture? Shall one have a free pass on all past, present and future sin without confession and repentance? Shall one give up on life due to the failure of an implied standard of holiness that seems impossible to reach?
This is only some of the many questions driven by different religious groups of entitlement, or rite of passage from one place of mortality to another.
To the end we shall never give up, all the way to the end. If we do not know, we continue the search and to hear the almighty God speak to us in the ever present form he chooses. The enemy of the cross ‘Satan’ is the accuser, the deceiver, and seeks to kill and destroy any who seek after Christ Jesus.
Lord, as we move forward from this day, let us hear what your word is saying to us, as we seek and study to go beyond words of profit for this world. Let us strive or seek to find ourselves approved of God and rely on rightly dividing the word of truth so that we ourselves can appreciate our Godly convictions. As we confess to you and learn of you let us rightly divide the word of truth so that others may understand the joy of living a life in your ways. Amen
