To be like Jesus 146

“The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord. All the ways of man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits. Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.

When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Better is little with righteousness than great revenues without right. A man’s heart deviseth his way: the but Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16 v1-9 AKJV

Lord, this day as I ponder over these your words my help again is come from you. As we commit-meaning to decide wholly that your way is our way our “thoughts will be established.” The indecision, the anxieties, and much more can go away as we grow in putting our faith and trust in you.

Followed by seeking “mercy and truth” the purging of our lives we are made whole in you.

Lord, let us truly understand in our hearts this day is yours. We are a part of this day and hopefully to your glory. We pray. Amen

“But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the Lord, that this house shall become a desolation.” Jeremiah 22 v5 AKJV

“Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us…” Luke 1 v1 AKJV

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built a house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately if fell; and the ruin of the house was great.” Luke 6 v46-49 AKJV

Lord, as the days pass, each one; let us know you are the house we build on, the Rock of our salvation found by our faith in you. Let us hear what your word says to us and understand how that applies to the way we live our lives. We give you praise and thanks for this day, and pray you be with the many people who are in the midst of trials or decisions this day.

Lord, this day is yours and we thank you. Amen

“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst wither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee wither thou wouldest not.

This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him,

Follow me.” John 21 v18,19 AKJV

Life passes, times change, the young step up into where the elders have gone. In the life of Christ Jesus, he glorified the father, and left for us the strong, securing words-“Follow me.” -In Christ Jesus our life is blessed beyond measure, because He is good.

Lord, I thank you for this day.

Lord, this day is yours. Amen

“He saith unto him the third time,

Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?

Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time,

Lovest thou me?

And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee, Jesus saith unto him,

Feed my sheep.” John 21 v17 AKJV

Lord, this day is yours. There is so much to be thankful for, and we thank you. Amen

To be like Jesus 140

To be like Jesus-To be Christ like-To be called a Christian…because of following the ways of Christ…

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being in the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” Hebrews 1 v1-3 AKJV

Beyond the reach of mortal man is the giving of what our creator gives, except that he gives through man by his Son the gift of the testimony of Grace. Shall we make the case of his existence when in the far reaches of the universe of which we can only discuss a picture of a change that has occurred. Everything held in the balances, and to thank God, it is held by a righteous God who loves man so much that through his Son salvation is ready for all who will choose.

Lord, we are thankful for this day and all those you have blessed with knowledge of our universes, of ourselves, and of all the things that make life better in the time of need.

This day, I pray that your guidance will prevail in our thoughts that what we do will bring glory and honor to you. In that life will be substantially better. We thank you. Amen

Lord, this day is yours. Amen
