Today’s Meditation 12/11/2017

“And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.” 2 Chronicles 7 v12

The Lord appeared to Solomon in the fashion he chose and confirmed to him that he had heard his prayer. That day set forward a place for lasting time to this day of a place of prayer. The Lord will hear our prayers as well.

Life is conditional upon the choices we make as individuals, as a community, and as a nation. The people who profess to belong to the Lord are very important to how our nation prospers far more than anyone else. He said, “If my people will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will … 2nd Chronicles 7 v14.

The explanation of how to live with the assurances of God and live as far away from his precepts and standards as possible if difficult to find. The confirmation that the Lord gives when we are on the right track (or seeking to be on the right track) is not necessary to explain, but serves well at times as a testimony to him.

May our prayers be heard in heaven, and our lives reflect his ways while we are here. Amen. 12/11/2017

Today’s Meditation 12/10/2017

“But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offense unto me: for thou savourest not the things of God, but those that be of men.” Mathew 16:22

Jesus addressed Peter straight on when Peter displayed his thoughts of how things should or should not happen over what God’s plan was. He loved Peter with all of who he was and even said that the spirit of Peter “the rock” would be what the church would be built upon. Even with all that Jesus knew what had to come to pass. In the next verse Jesus went further in laying out how our relationship with him is to be. he said “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.”

The continuing verses are even more descriptive how the results of our decision will affect us. Although he loves us, his purposes of him in our lives must be allowed to come to pass. To me that is to learn how to trust him, he will not misguide our lives. Our possessions of this world are only temporary, his purpose in our lives is for eternity. Jesus will come and his reward is with him. May you be blessed today and bless others. Amen 12/10/2017

Today’s Meditation 12/9/2017

“Touch not; taste not; handle not” Colossians 3 v23

Our heart is to apply the direction of how the spirit of the Lord guides our lives. In humility the joy of the Lord is manifested in our opportunity to be a part of what he is doing with us. To know the dimension of living with him beyond what we can do or accomplish and still realize we are human is to understand who he is in our lives.

Our blessing is to share with others our part in his living in us. May we bless the Lord, Amen.

Today’s Meditation 12/8/2017

“For the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.” Romans 9 v9

The word of promise is God’s word, and he made it clear that Sarah would have a son. Due to her age she herself thought this not possible, but God had another plan. God’s plan goes much farther than we ourselves can imagine. All we have to know is that his plan for our lives is good for us. May the Lord truly bless you all today, his mercy endures forever. Hallelujah.

Lord, I thank you for the safe travels on this journey, Amen.

Today’s Meditation 12/7/2017

“For three things the earth is disqueted, and for four which it cannot bear:” Proverbs 30 v21

Three things that makes the inhabitants of the earth uneasy or filled with anxiety. A person given duties or responsibilities that he/she cannot handle, a fool when he is full and content and shows no concerns for others, an angry woman when she is married, and a handmaid that is heir to her mistress.

I have often heard, attitudes are contagious. Another I heard is “misery loves company” but on the positive side -Love covers a multitude of sins, “he is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose. -Jim Elliot” “Our greatest fear should not be failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter.- Francis Chan” “He who lays up treasure on earth spends his life backing away from his treasures. To him, death is loss. He who lays up treasures in heaven looks forward to eternity; he is moving daily toward his treasures. To him, death is gain. Randy Alcorn”

Life is precious, life is sweet. Love the Journey as we travel and love those your with, be blessed today. Amen 12/7/2017

Today’s Meditation 12/6/2017

“Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.” Zechariah 5 v1

The view of knowing right and wrong, of understanding true conviction in order to bring us to the knowledge of understanding our personal relationship with Christ can bring our own lives, communities, and our nation to a place of true repentance. God’s mercy will reign forever to those who will take heed to his word. The flying roll marked a curse on the face of the earth against stealing, lying, and swearing falsely (saying we are one thing and thing living another), and that judgement would come.

Through Christ Jesus there is an opportunity to live our lives in the shelter of his mercy and grace. In the book of Acts Jesus said, “What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.” Through the birth, death, and resurrection of Christ we have true life, but not to be used as a false pretense but lived out in our daily lives (because he lives in us and we desire to walk with him) so that the judgement of our nation stands right with the Lord. Be blessed today, Amen. 12/6/2017

Today’s Meditation 12/5/2017

“Thus saith the Lord to me; Make the bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck, ” Jeremiah 27 v2

The begining of knowledge is to respect the Lord, to understand that he is our creator and the creator of all things. Of course it is the choice of anyone whether or not to do so but by all laws and the nature of all laws our decisions on whether or not we do also come’s with results that many times determine the circumstances in which we live. God has no need to establish who he is because he is the “I am.” He gives us the word of direction at times to bring us to a better understanding of who he is, and that we can trust him with all of who we are.

In the book of Mathew he says, “come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Mathew 11: 28-30

God is the “I am” of all people. He is our refuge and our strength and if we learn of his ways and his statutes, we can find perfect peace in his plan for our lives, no matter who we are. I have made many mistakes, and am daily faced with decisions of my own and at times some that affect others. Lord, dear heavenly father, Lord let us put our faith and trust in you. Amen 12/5/2017

Today’s Meditation 12/4/2017

“These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgement of truth and peace in your gates:” Zechariah  8 v19

Specific things the Lord said “shall” be done, speaking to the people of Jerusalem. Tell the truth and let you actions be based on true justice and bring peace to your gates: Daily living doesn’t have to be confused with the sin of lying and all around motives of competitive self gain, nor should our commitment to others have to be driven by what we can gain for ourselves from them.  We should work to do everything we do as if we are doing it for the Glory and love of the Lord.  Have a blessed day. 12/4/2017 Monday

Today’s Meditation 12/02/2017

“Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptabe unto thee, and break of thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility.” Daniel 4 v27

A dream came as a warning to the king, Daniel was called upon for thee interpretation of the dream. It was a description of what was to come and Daniels council to the king was to (break of thy sins) change the way he was living and begin living righteous to the Lord, not self righteous but Godly righteous. Also he was counselled to show mercy to the poor. This may have resulted in the lengthening of (tranquility-define as a state of calmness or peaceful). Question is, did the king listen. More so today, do I listen when the Lord speaks to me about living the way I should  and treating others the way that I should. Lord, let our ears hear what your spirit is saying to us as a church-the body of Christ. Amen 12/2/2017
