“And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. And he said,
I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.”
And he said unto them,
When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye anything?
And they said, Nothing.” Luke 22 v33-35 AKJV
Lord, this day I know that you understand our weaknesses and our needs. I thank you and give you all the praise and glory this day. I thank you for all that you do, all that you have done, and all that you will do. Amen
“Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.” Luke 1 v34-38 AKJV
“And the Lord said,
Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Luke 22 v31-32 AKJV
Lord, this day, guide us in to a day of fellowship-true fellowship with others. Understanding the difficulties, and sharing in the good things, all of which shall lead us to your purposes. Engaging in the encouragement of right in others and the ability to overcome by your prayers for us, as well. Thank you Lord, for your love. Lord, this day to is yours. Amen
“And they began to enquire among themselves among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing. And there was also strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest. And he said unto them,
The kings of the Gentiles excercise lordship over them; and they that excercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? but I am among you as he that serveth. Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint you a kingdom, as my father hath appointed unto me; That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on the thrones of judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” Luke 22 v23-30
Lord, I thank you that you can move the clouds and uncover the sun. The wind is yours to have, and you have given us great goodness to see. Your mercy endures forever, your longsuffering is far beyond any measure I can even imagine, because I know you have had mercy on me. My family has and does have great blessing from you, and I thank you. I thank you this day, that worship in tears can come from a heart that you have given because you have given life.
Help us Lord in pressing forward, in a real way-your word continues…
“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to the present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen” Jude v20-25
Lord, as I see and at times do not understand, I know you do. Let our ears hear what your spirit is saying to us as a church. Amen Lord, this day is yours. Amen
This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!” Luke 22 v20-22 AKJV
The new life of hope, the promise of eternal life through the blood of Christ Jesus. By faith we believe. By life we experience his goodness as we put our trust in his ways as the testimony comes daily.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.” Revelation 12 v11 AKJV
Lord, we thank you for this day. We go forward. Lord, this day is yours. Amen
Take this, and divide it among yourselves: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying,
This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.” Luke 22 v17-20 AKJV
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any an hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3 v20
Lord, I thank you for this day as it is yours. I desire your fellowship in me and know that you are with me throughout the day. To the places that are above all that we are dealing with, that you can take us there. Our friends Lord, our Christ family, we pray special for them today. I know you are with them, I thank you. Amen
“And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. And he said unto them,
With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” Luke 22 v14-16 AKJV
This day, what does it bring? In my own world it is easy for my thinking to be occupied with thoughts of how the actions of others that will, or could, impact my life or my way of earning a living. That in me creates a desire to form a reactive response in order to make the day work out the way I think it should.
My prayer this morning is, Give me strength, and guide my steps(actions) to what the will of the Lord would be throughout the day. As it seems I wrestle with the actions of men, in truth, our adversary is spiritual wickedness.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6 v12 AKJV
Remind me Lord of you goodness, let me live out my purpose to others who do not know you as I stand where you would have me stand. Forgive me Lord today, as I desire nothing to stand between you and I and our prayers. Help me Lord, that you in me helps to bring peace to the unsettled, as my faith is strengthened in your testimony throughout this day. Let me make known where my strength comes from, and that is in you. My humility is in recognizing how good it is to be a part of the family of God. It is by your blood that was shed on the cross, the forgiveness of our sins. The unworthy made worthy. Lord, I thank you for this day. Amen
“And they said unto him, Where wilt thou prepare? And he said unto them,
Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall be a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.” Luke 22 v9-13 AKJV
Lord, we thank you for the path to forgiveness, eternal life, and a daily presence with you as we pray. Many are in need of your touch today and we bring them to you in our hearts and prayers. The cross, the three crosses at Calvary, and the decision to follow you, we thank you. Lord, we praise you this day, for life is good. Amen
