Today’s Meditation 1/24/2018

a random verse…

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Mathew 28 v20

The great commission-Jesus. As Jesus lived with his disciples he walked with them and taught them about life. As he lives with us, he walks with us and teaches us about life. As he speaks to us through his word, our circumstances reveal to us opportunity’s to live out this great commission. To observe what he has commanded us in all his ways and to teach them to others.

One of the greatest opportunity’s to learn is to teach.

Dear heavenly father, be with us this day as we learn more of you and teach others. Bless those who have great needs around the world today. Amen

Today’s Meditation 1/23/2018

a random verse…

“I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” Psalm 18 v3

The King of all Kings, the Lord God-in our short comings and failures he is long-suffering, he is worthy to be praised. None can make the heavens shake with thunder, the rain fall where it will-on the just and even the unjust. He is Lord and worthy to be praised. None can stand against those who are his because he is on their side.

Lord, may I find myself worthy to be yours, not of my own  way but of my faith and trust in you. Only you know the struggles of each one of us, Lord. Let us be forgiven in your sight and strengthened in your way. Lord protect us from the oppressor’s. Help us Lord in keeping your ways and let us not depart from them. Lord, let me not stand on false righteousness but let my heart be filled with your desire and my actions filled with your ways, because I know your spirit can guide me. Amen

Today’s Meditation 1/22/2018

a random verse…

“And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them (i.e. across from them) to praise and give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward (i.e. group alternating with group). Nehemiah 12 v24

To honor the commandments of God, to be strong keeping the words of God.

Dear Lord, as we know you are in heaven, provide for us this day our needs, forgive us as we forgive those who have wronged us, guide our steps to what is right, protect us from those who wish to do wrong. We know that all is yours and you are in control and we give thanks. Amen.

Today’s Meditation 1/21/2018

a random verse…

“Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressor city!” Zephaniah 3 v1

To write- Oh! to the one who is rebellious of what is right, who uses the idea of freeing others from rage and violence drawing them into destruction with deception and self promotion while denying truth and validity.

The word goes on to describe “princes are roaring lions; …judges are evening wolves; … prophet are light/profane … have polluted the sanctuary, … have done violence to the law.”  … as a condition of “filthy and polluted”.

In the end, God will bring true “judgement to light” and will not fail.

Lord, let us not have the spirit in us to rise up early and be corrupt in our doings. Let us put our faith and trust in you, help us to receive and accept your instruction and correction. Help us Lord, to encourage and live a lifestyle not mixed or confused. Help us Lord to live in the one spirit, the spirit of your correction and understanding which will provide the wisdom of daily living. Let us live consistent with your word and your teachings and align ourselves together in this way. Amen

Today’s Meditation 1/20/2018

a random verse…

“Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?” Isaiah 40 v12

God is in control.

“…But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40 v32

To be at peace with God, not just in being forgiven but also in being able to trust him brings great comfort. In the greatness of God’s might we can rest in his arms. Our performance in not measure in the world’s terms but in his and as the word says, who has the greater measurements? Who has the understanding of your time, except that it is good?

Dear Lord, and heavenly father, we are so very, very thankful for all that you have done for us. Not one can put a measure to the goodness you have shown except that it would be overflowing. We praise you this morning for the answered prayer of a friend. Amen

Today’s Meditation 1/19/2018

a random verse…

“Howbeit he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him: and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still:” 2 Samuel 2 v23

To be remembered for times to come are the decisions and choice of actions we take in life today. On into the same chapter it reads-“Shall the sword devour for ever?” The values of the battles of men are measured in time by the measure of the word.

Lord, let our words we speak today be of your purposes and of the work you are doing in us. May the Lord be with you today. Amen

Today’s Meditation 1/18/2018

a random verse…

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth  his sheep from the goats:” Mathew 25 v32

nations of people will one day stand before the Lord. He will divide them into two parts, those who have chosen to follow him and those who rejected with unbelief. Many who have chosen Christ will hear “Come, be blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” …

Dear heavenly father, help us this day to treat others in a way that they see you in us. Fill us Lord with your divine Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts and our actions in a loving, caring, and compassionate way. Amen.
