“And he said, All is well, My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.” 2 Kings 5 v4

Lord, I thank you for this knew day. Help us Lord to not turn aside for any distractions that are put into our path, and help us to focus on what you have given us for this day as our assignment in life and we thank you. Today’s Meditation 5/2/2018

a random verse…

“In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab,” Numbers 10 v14

A time of feast and celebration, and honor to the way the people lived. Their first thing was the banner-‘flag’ to present them as who they were known as. The connection to their unity as a  people.

Lord, this day, help us to treat others with the invitation to be a part of your family. Help us Lord to walk in your light in what is right and we thank you. Your blessing have been and continue to be good to us. We thank you. Amen

Today’s Meditation 5/1/2018

a random verse…

“Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.” Nehemiah 12 v25

Nehemiah desired and was given the task of rebuilding the wall for the protection of his own nation, his people. He took the task and completed it through many, many distractions. Some were normal distractions and some were distractions by the enemy to have him not complete the wall and protect his people.

These men above were assigned a task of being gate keepers at the ‘porters’ of the gates after the wall was completed. They two were a part of protecting the people.

In our spiritual walk with God, we to are gatekeepers and charged many times over with living what is right before him. That way we are part of carrying on what is right.

Lord, help us this day to do what is right before your eyes and before men. We give you the praise and honor and glory. Amen

Dear Lord, we are so very thankful for all that you have done for us. Help us Lord to always lift up your name in praise. Our trust, our faith is in you. Forgive us Lord our iniquities this day. Amen

Speaking to the nation which turns away from God, in this case Israel, and it goes on…

“And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel; And say, Thus saith the Lord God; …A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar: He cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried it into a land of traffick; he set it in a city of merchants. He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by great waters, and set it as a willow tree. And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots thereof were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs. … There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation. It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine. …Say thou, Thus saith the Lord God; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut of the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even with great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.” from the book of Ezekiel

Lord, I thank you today for all that you have done. You have shone us mercy and grace and brought good things to our lives. “fruit”. Let us continue to reach to you for our guidance and direction through life and always knowing you are our God, and though we have choices to make you are in control.
