Today’s Meditation 1/7/2018

a random verse….

“That they shall drive thee from men and thy dwelling shall be with beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.” Daniel 4:25

Lord, this day and every day, let our praises and thanks be unto you. We are dependent upon your ways, and your plan for our lives. Forgive us in the shortcomings and failures of our own. In all of our abilities we still come up short, but in our weaknesses you are strong and we thank you.

Let us Lord not be “found wanting,” after all the blessing’s you have given us like the king would be as we read on into the chapters after today’s verse. Let us be measured only by your grace, and your forgiveness. Lord forgive us of any prideful ways we may have, in your name we pray, for ourselves, for our families, and for all others today. “…weighed in the balances…” by the measure of your grace. Amen

and let us never take that for granted. Amen

Be blessed this day and pray one for another as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Amen

 Today’s Meditation 1/6/2018

a random verse…

“My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, .thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savor: and thus it was, saith the Lord..” Ezekiel 16 v19

“My meat” -God’s blessing’s and provisions of life he has blessed us with. Where do we go with them or what do we do. This verse is like a reminder to them, or a calling out of their recognition, to understand he found them as he did many of us in a spiritually destitute and some even in a physical and financial destitute place in life.

As I look back on the years of my own I remember climbing many mountains, literally, with groups of people who wanted to conquer the same mountains. As we ventured to more and more places some of the number of people became fewer and fewer.

On a mountain near home one day, as we ascended up the mountain, my legs were hurting with intense pain and a couple of the younger folks , my son and nephew, had already passed me by and were way ahead of where myself and grandson. We were climbing a trail that seemed straight up and my thinking on the relentless pain wouldn’t ease up, then what seemed out of nowhere as song came from my grandson’s lips, “We have been washed by the water” he sang. That word and song of encouragement was to me inspired by God through my grandson to let me know who had taken care of me so far, it was the Lord. We climbed along a beautiful creek up the trail of that mountain, he saw the washing of the water. His praise was the thanks to God for the washing of the water and the outward song was an invitation for me to join into the praise.

Prior to today’s verse it is written like this-“Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.” The Lord has blessed us with all things and I am greatful.

One of the mountains, the tallest one, my son and I climbed twice, just to say we made it to the top. Another we climbed with intentions of staying over night, that didn’t work out well due to bear hunters in the area.

We have had a lot of experiences in life so far, some were good from our eyes and some were more challenging. It is in the good times when we need to remember how God has brought us this far. We have been “washed by the water…”

May you be blessed today and bless the Lord with your blessings. Amen

Today’s Meditation 1/5/2018

a random verse…

“And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Galus and Aristarchus, men of Macedonina, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre,”… Acts 19 v29

“Filled with confusion:” was brought on by the motives and choices of the people. First, the commandment is -thou shalt put no other God’s before me- so reading prior to and around the verse it is understood that some were professing to be filled with the spirit of God yet knew not Jesus. Others were relying on there skills of hand or “craft” to secure a provision for themselves. In the process they were building idols “crafted” things to be worshiped as false God’s and this what led to the confusion of the people of the land. They were ready and willing to fight for their own abilities even against the laws of God.

God is always in control, and there is one path to know him and that is through faith and a relationship to him through his son Jesus. When all our efforts seem to fail God is still able and willing to bring us on into the next part of life. Our hands, our skills, our talents are all expected to be used, especially in a way to make a living and provide for our own but never to be put on a pedestal above the Lord and his ways. Other false God’s infiltrating the land brings confusion to the land.

May you all be blessed today with the warmth of God’s spirit upon the heart. Amen

Today’s Meditation 1/4/2018

a random verse…

“Now these are the dwelling places throughout their castles to their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathities: for theirs was the lot.” 1 Chronicles 6 v54

Understanding the “lot”, or the assignment and the order that comes with it. Early on in this same chapter reads like this-“And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem:..

Order brings assignment of a lot of things in life. In order there is a place to dwell and duties for being selected at the dwelling place you are selected to be at. In these scriptures the designation was very specifically appointed for the time of these families which later grew into the many of the nations of the world. Was it important to understand God had a plan and a reason for his order?

That is relatively the same today, as God has a plan for all of our lives and an order for which designates our purpose. He sees far beyond the plans we make but desires that we seek him in our walk daily and allow his plan and purpose to become fruitful in our own lives. It does not have to be some far reaching high magnitude plan. The plan laid out here in the 1 Chronicles was a plan for living, making a living, and raising a family while all at the same time being in service to the Lord.

May you all be wonderfully blessed today as God’s plan continues to come to fruit in your lives. Amen

Today’s Meditation 1/3/2018

a random verse…

“For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, that the man which doeth those things shall live by them.” Romans 10 v6

There was a beginning of time when man’s understanding of God’s ways lacked perimeters of understanding, almost as it seems now. Moses was the called one who God used to bring out the Lord’s ways to a people and as an example today.

Over time, God’s plan has brought the further development of our understanding with Salvation through his son Jesus Christ. In the next few verses the word put’s it this way…”That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

In our mistakes of the law we are driven to understand the grace of the Lord Jesus. Grace is his strength to live as we should, and his forgiveness in our time of need.

Lord, help us to seek your ways throughout this day. Amen

Today’s Meditation 01/02/2018

a random verse…

“Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:…” Job 11 v16

Time has came, and time has gone, and now it has came again. Everyday brings a new day, it also brings friends and advice. Job understood all these things and even more and yet listened for a time to those who would speak to him in different ways.

He new also the most important thing, who he was, and who God was to him. He sought righteousness in the midst of many troubles and prevailed in life with God’s blessings. A time came after this verse where he elaborated a little on what he knew so to have those who were implying of him a stature of who he knew himself was not. How many of us understand, God speaks. The earth teaches, the fish of the sea declare knowledge, but who doesn’t know that it is God’s hand that makes this all happen.

Job ask a time of those to “hold your peace!” He knew “man that is born a woman is few of days, and full of trouble.”

Did you ever notice how the closer you are to climbing the mountain, the larger it appears to be?

With all that he stayed the course and “So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning:…”

God is good in his own way, be blessed today.
