“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God:” Romans 3 v23
Yes, we have sinned and fell short of the life that would glorify God as he is, and that task of being perfect is beyond our reach without the “law of faith” which is our justification through the blood of Christ that was shed on the cross for our sins. Shall we continue in sin, “God forbid.” We are to “strive for perfection” (i.e. try) to live out our lives as a “living sacrifice” for God and for ourselves to others. It is by faith in the Lord Jesus that we can have this hope. May you all have a blessed day, Amen 12/21/2017
5 days until Christmas-counting Christmas day 🙂 7 Swans a swimming …
“And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.” Ezekiel 16 v39
Many times, over and over, God has allowed his judgment to come against his own and that judgement is written in His word for us to see as an example of what could come as we make decisions as individuals, and as a nation that goes against his holiness. It is through his son, Jesus, that we are redeemed to a filling of his spiritual nature that gives us the ability to fight against our own flesh and the desires of the flesh. If and when we fail we have an advocate with the father to which we can go. His peace will follow those who desire to Love him, and honor him with our lives in the way we live. His Love and mercy endures forever. May you be blessed today. Amen
6 days until Christmas, counting Christmas day- 6 Geese (ornathords:) a laying- happiness is good.
“And at midnight, there was a cry made, Behold, the bride-groom cometh, go ye out to meet him.”
The teaching here is as there was light needed for the lamps of the virgins (potential brides) to go out and meet the groom. Some were called foolish because they were not prepared and had no oil for their lamps, their were others who had prepared and were ready with oil in their lamps to go out and meet the groom.
Christmas is soon upon us a few days from now, and most everyone is still shopping and preparing a gift for the celebration day of the birth of Jesus. Some have been better prepared and shopped earlier. We have known this day was coming ever since last year, I still will be needing to get a few things for some others myself. The point is, don’t get caught unprepared to meet the bride-groom.
The church (body of Christ) is the bride of Christ Jesus, and just as Christmas is coming in a few days, he will return at the time of his choosing for the church. Are you ready? Love you guys, have a blessed day.
7 days until Christmas, counting Christmas day 🙂 Six Geese a laying -trying to get this right…
“Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.” Psalm 74 v3
Hurry to the defense the seemingly endless challenges and destructions, even in the church, your house, where we find refuge-the Psalmist is crying out to the Lord.
Though God will let the will of men be of their own choices, a time will come when all will worship him, “every knee shall bow” and the judgment of works will come. Our lives seem always in turmoil at times, but we are to remain faithful to who he is, and our overcoming these challenges comes by the sacrifice he already made for us and the word of our testimony. God is in control, give thanks and praise to him today.
May the Lord bless you today, I’m glad to share this thought with you today…
Christmas is only 8 days away, counting Christmas day 🙂 -five golden rings
“Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;” Zephaniah 2 v1
Together we study because we agree to be here on this site, and then take the necessary action to get us here. “The word of the Lord” speaks to the nation of Israel at this time to get themselves together. The not desired is before them as doing things and living in a way that is unpleasing to the Lord. He warns them to agree to move forward in his ways. Zephaniah is warned of a true judgement that is coming and those who hear the word are given opportunity to be blessed of the Lord. On into the book of Zephaniah he tells them “I will undo all that afflict thee: …”
The Lord is on our side, not as we are perfect but that we should work to be of the same mind as a nation in honoring him. Not as political honor and division casting bad light upon another but to warn them of the judgment that will come with bad choices, those which are against his statutes and precepts. His love endures forever and those who struggle if they desire he will redeem them. Have a blessed day. 12/17/2017
9 days until Christmas – counting Christmas day :)-four calling birds
“David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him.” 1 Samuel 22:13
David’s life was not under the direction of his own self. He traveled, as the Lord gave him direction. He became captain over those that were “in distress, and every one that was in debt, and everyone that was discontented, …”
As we study on in this together, I am sure we will find God’s way will prevail for David, and for those who honor God and follow his anointed. Church is a great place to be, and we will soon celebrate the one who is the head of the Church. The birth of Jesus.
May the Lord bless you today as you bless others. Amen
10 days until Christmas (I’m counting Christmas day 🙂 Three french hens _ _ _
“A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of host unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? ” Malachi 1 v6
A search for the gift that keeps on in anothers life, what could that be? We look for that thing that is of a physical state and that is all good for it’s purposes and hope they love it. God looks to those who love him to honor him and bring praise to his name. Here he is speaking directly to the priest who offer sacrifice to him on behalf of others .
On into the next chapter of Malachi, he speaks of Levi. He speaks of Levi’s reverence, and how the law of truth was in his mouth. The law of truth was in his mouth and injustice was not found in what he spoke. He walked in peace and equity and by doing so turned many from iniquity/a life of sin.
A messenger shall come, “like a refiners fire, and like a fullers soap” and when has purged them” “then shall the offering …be pleasant to the Lord”.
The gift of mercy and grace comes from the Lord, with a message that penetrates the heart to live as he would have us to live, not of our own self righteousness but to learn of him and live.
May the Lord truly bless you this day. Amen 12/15/2017
11 days until Christmas. …two turtle doves,
