Today’s Meditation 2/11/2018

a random verse…

“But at last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in who is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying.”

A release comes when you know the man of God is bringing a right answer.  You witness the spirit of a Holy God bearing witness to the truth beyond all the other false witnesses. Our God is real and worthy to be praised.

Jesus came to bring light unto a dark world and to bear witness of that light means he lives in us. May you be blessed today in your walk with Christ Jesus. Amen

Today’s Meditation 2/10/2018

a random verse…

No man, when he lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.” Luke 11 v33

As a child growing up we would sing a song in Sunday School that went something like this-I’m gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, hide it under a bushel no, I’m gonna let it shine,…” and it was a stirring moment in the heart of a child. On the one hand we would symbolize a candle and use the other to cover and uncover the symbolic candle.

Great times were those, and I’m very thankful for the Lady who gave her time in teaching Sunday School. She also played the piano for the church. Her talents were well used, and carry on today impacting the lives of many. Using your life to bless others as a Christian is letting your light shine. Thankyou for all you do for the Lord.

Dear Lord, we are so very, very, thankful for all that you have done for us. Let us lift up your name not only with our lips but with the way we live our lives before others. Bless all my brothers and sisters in Christ today, and a special prayer for the missionaries around the world today. Amen

Today’s Meditation 2/9/2018

a random verse…

“And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.” Lamentations 3 v17

In times when all seems destitute or lost, read on…

“This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because of his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man that bear the yoke in his youth.” …

To remember, God is truly good, and God is in control.

Lord, as you go with us this day, we thank you. Help us Lord to lean on you and your ways and not to our own understanding. Let us Lord hear what your spirit is saying to us today, as you bring your word to our mind. Amen

Today’s Meditation 2/8/2018

a random verse…

“And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the Lord: this is king Ahaz.” 2 Chronicles v22

In a time when Ahaz already had chosen not to follow God’s ways in his leadership as king. In the events of his life he chose to do as other kings and sacrifice to other God’s. “they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.”

To some seeking refuge with the Lord is viewed wrong or week. In the Lords eyes and to many others the stronger individual turns to the Lord and seeks to follow him in his ways. This is the greatest defense.

Lord, help us to follow you, even in the times of distress when we feel the need to fix things as others seem to have working for them. Let us put our faith and trust in you. Amen.

Today’s Meditation 2/7/2018

a random verse…

“Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.” Psalm 35 v23

Have you ever told someone something and felt like they didn’t hear you? Even with God’s calling and his purposes the words seem to pass right over with selective hearing at best in a world that everyone knows what is best.

That world is the development of opinions, and at times opinions that lead undue persecutions, undue confusion devised by oppressors to hurt someone, even without cause. False witnesses do rise up, and accuse of things that come as a surprise. False witness reward evil for good to the ruin of ones deepest feelings.

but the good news,

God will rise up to the defense of his own in his time. We can rejoice in his salvation, because as the Psalmist wrote “who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the need from him that spoileth him?”

The prayer today is “Lord, come to my defense, and even to my purpose for which you have called me to, because you are my God, and my Lord” and Lord prepare me by your strength in my own spirit to walk with you. Amen

Today’s Meditation 2/6/2018

a random verse…

“For the Lord will not cast off for ever:” Lamentations 3 v31

At times far away is a place we all seem to be. Cold and indifference settles in with crushing strength, and dry is the spiritual place of our mirage of separation.

But who is it that set the stars, the moon and the sun in place and holds them there.

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and guitely wait for the salvation of the Lord…”

May we have the strength to wait on the Lord. Our hope is in him alone. By faith we go today, the ground crunching under our feet. The cold seeping up into our physical being, but soon the grass will come in the spring by the Lord’s balance. Thank you Lord for all that you do for us, Amen.

Today’s Meditation 2/5/2018

a random verse…

“The Lord will enter into judgement with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.” Isaiah 3 v14

Justice will come to answer many in the Lord’s time. Our righteousness is not of ourselves nor is it to point out anothers unrighteousness, but the Lord will enter into that judgement in his time. The consciousness of the word of the Lord will guide the morality of what is right.

We speak of morality, yet the ruin of the poor is laid to the responsibility of those who lead. The house is full but empty, and how can that be? Possessions and Spirit lead down two separate paths, yet one always seems to dominate the other, except where there is balance. Weighed in the balances-it will be.

Lord, help us with the balance of what is right. Let our faith be the first in all that we do, and that faith is in trusting you as our guide in life. Amen.
