“For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:” Romans 6 v5
Because he lives, we live. Jesus gave his life on the cross for us, and as we accept him by faith and die to ourselves-our old lifestyles-we become new in him. As we die to ourselves in our old life we also will live with him in the resurrection from this life to eternal life. We can “walk in the newness of life.” today.
Thank you Lord, for all that you are to us-our everything. Amen …by faith…
“And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: They seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.” Luke 11 v29
Looking for what is right, or is to come. It is here and the message is while we take lengths to clean the outside for others to see, the inside is as important. True judgment/justice and the love of God. A life filled with Christ Jesus as we learn more daily of walking in the Spirit of Christ.
“And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beast of the field, till seven times pass over him;” Daniel 4 v24
Be thankful in all things. All things work together for those that Love the Lord.
Here, the kings earthly kingdom and his stature are reduced, and taken town only to leave a remnant-a stump. He is led to be as a beast in the field, yet the remnant is waters and still given life. Soon he comes to realize that he must “know that the most high ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth to whomsoever he will.”
May God bless you today. -“break of thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor;” Amen
“By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.” Psalm 102 v5
A prayer to the Lord to hear the condition I find myself in. It is important that we know that we can and that we do go to God with the discussion of where we find ourselves and the condition we are in. He listens and it goes no farther with the exception of truly arranging for our better good.
Lord, hear our prayer of confession first, as we know that you are a forgiving God. Lord, hear our prayer of condition and need and take us to the place in life that honor’s you. Lord we thank you for this day. Amen
“And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the women that sew pillows to the armholes/magic charms on their sleeves, and make kerchiefs/veils upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?” Ezekiel 13 v18
There are no magic charms that can save us as a people, nor is there a covering other than the grace of God that will carry us into eternity. The deception and the deceiver will find their end, but the faithful will trust in the Name of the Lord God.
Lord, we thank you for the renewed strength every day that keeps us trusting in you. May we give you the praise. Amen
“Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.” John 20 v7
Simon Peter knew the voice of Jesus really well. Well enough to want to immediately go to him when he knew he presence was there with them. He prepared himself and stepped into the sea with excitement driven faith.
Like a new born into life, the spirit of Christ Jesus in us can rise to the heights of beyond human expectation. God is good to us, and blesses our daily living so excitement when his presence is near us and we hear his voice it more than warranted, it is a special place.
Lord, may we look for you in our daily living, in our work, and as you are there let us draw near to you, Amen.
Moreover all the vessels, which king Ahaz in his reign did cast away in his trangresion, have we prepared and sanctified, and, behold, they are before the altar of the Lord.” 2 Chronicles 29 v19
Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary-all that is cast aside in wrong doings, let them be prepared and sanctified and found in your altars of grace. Lord, let me find strength in you to truly pray this prayer. Amen
