In conversation some days ago, a response to conversation came to another in the form of “times have changed”. Surely, this is true and we all know. We no longer see the man clothed in the “raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle” and that is pretty clear. The apparel of what is on the outside has taken many different forms over the centuries of time, but the adornment of what comes from the inside still lay in two characteristics clearly defined from the beginning of time.
Repentance, the word itself brings a presence of thought to ones mind when it is spoken, heard, or even read. To ‘make straight’ the way is a call to living with respect to all the precepts of the word of the Lord that has not changed.
God sent his son, because of his love for his creation of humanity. His desire for his purposes to have a pure and Holy fellowship with those who choose to follow him. It is a good life.
